Growganica King Krustacean is a water soluble calcium and chitin supplement made from crustacean meal, seaweed, and potassium hydroxide. With a guaranteed analysis of 1.6-0-0.9, 10% calcium, and 8% humic acid, this formula adds calcium to your feeding routine while providing chitin rich material for soil microbes.
Calcium plays an important role in plant cell walls and developing tissue, while humic acid supports nutrient interactions in the growing medium. The chitin from crustacean shells provides a food source for chitin degrading microbes, making King Krustacean a useful addition to biologically active soil and living soil programs.
Use King Krustacean with fruiting vegetables and other suitable crops when additional calcium is needed. The water soluble powder can be applied as a soil drench or added to compatible hydroponic nutrient solutions, making it useful for indoor gardens, containers, and outdoor growing beds.
Mix ¼ tablespoon per gallon of water and apply with watering throughout the growing cycle, following the manufacturer's current directions. Check compatibility before combining with other inputs, and do not premix with microbial products for longer than four hours unless aerated.
