Why growers use a monotub divider

  •  A true side-by-side comparison: both strains share the same tub, air, light and temperature, so the only real difference between the two sides is the genetics.
  •  Test a new strain without giving it a whole tub: run a proven favorite on one side and something new on the other.
  •  Two grows, one footprint: one tub on the shelf instead of two.
  •  Each side stays separate: every half gets its own liner, so the substrates never mix. If one side has a problem, you lift that liner out and leave the other side alone.
  •  Made to fit our tubs: the 3D-printed end shoes are shaped to the exact wall slope of Grower's Select monotubs, so the panel sits flush against the walls and stays put.

What's in the kit

  • 1 × Monotub Divider: CNC-cut 1/4" black HDPE panel with two 3D-printed end shoes and an anti-slip silicone backing
  • 2 × small pre-cut monotub liners, one for each side
  • 2 × Monotub Tracker write-and-wipe labels (4" × 2.75"), one for each strain

How it works

  1. Clean the tub and divider. Wash with soap and water, then wipe both down with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
  2. Press the divider into place. Set it across the middle of the tub and push it straight down until the end shoes sit firmly against the side walls. The walls narrow toward the bottom, so it wedges tighter the farther down it goes.
  3. Line each half. Drop a small liner into each side and fold the extra over the rim.
  4. Spawn each side. In a Large 66Q, plan on about half the tub's normal load per side: one spawn bag or two 32 oz jars mixed into up to 5 lbs of bulk substrate. In a Medium 44Q, use about one 32 oz jar or half a spawn bag into roughly 3.5–4 lbs per side.
  5. Label both sides. Stick a Monotub Tracker label on the outside of the tub in front of each half and write in the strain and spawn date.
  6. Colonize, fruit and harvest as normal. When the run is done, lift each liner out with the spent cake in it, wash the divider, and it's ready for the next grow.
